Implantology - dental implants
Implantology is the youngest branch of dentistry, which has rapid progress in last ten years.
Implants are titanium implants which are through surgical procedure built into the jaw bone. Titan is a highly compliant material, so it is very well accepted by the body. Each patient older than 18 years is suitable for the implant placement, if they don't suffer from a chronic disease, diabetes or osteoporosis. The implant as a replacement for one tooth...
If you are missing only one tooth, a dental implant is an ideal solution. In place of the missing tooth dental implant is installed on which is placed ceramic crown and your problem is solved.
Why is this the best solution?
If that missing tooth is compensated in the classic style, we would have to grind the two neighboring teeth and put crown on them, and between them member that would replace your tooth.
Toothless jaws
In edentulous jaws are mounted several implants which are used as carriers of the future bridge. In the upper jaw are usually installed 6 implants, and in the lower jaw 5 implants. After several days, the patient receives a temporary acrylic bridge, and after the time needed for complete healing and osseointegration, gets permanent bridge. This is the most expensive version, but also the best.
Implant-supported dentures
Patients who don't have any teeth, and can't wear complete dentures because of falling out (the reason may be the atrophy of the bone), or have no funds for the first version, may install a smaller number of implants to solve their problem. After healing, the implants are connected with the bar or attachments are put on them. The prosthesis is anchored to the implant using ball, perfectly on the part that is embedded in the implant. That kind of work allows the patient to wear a prosthesis without fear that it will fall out. This is a particularly good method for the lower edentulous jaw which often leads to severe atrophy of bone in the jaw ridge which disappears. For that kind of work there should be incorporated 2-4 implants into the upper jaw and 2 implants in the lower jaw.
Patients who have worn dentures for many years often have insufficient bone mass. This problem can be resolved before implantation with augmentation, insertion of an artificial bone. After implant placement, and after removing thread, the patient gets the appropriate prosthetic replacement. After 4-6 months for the upper jaw and 2-3 months for the lower jaw, the patient gets a compatible prosthetic work. This time is necessary for osseointegration to avoid falling out of built implants.
We use products of the world's leading manufacturers of implants: NobelBiocare and Sky. Innovation in our practice is a new method of making bridges.
Gold Ceramics
Metal Ceramic
There are two ways of fixing this bridge for implant:
- Cementation of the implant
- Fitting with screws.
Method of fitting with the screw is better, because the bridge can be removed without any damage. It is good to periodically visit a dentist who will do the control of your teeth. If necessary, he can easily remove the bridge, clean it thoroughly, and make small correction if needed. At the same visit, your bridge is reattach with screws to the implant. Gold - Ceramics is the most accurate and aesthetically the most beautiful prosthetic work, but is available to a small number of patients. With procurement of laser in dental laboratory we are able to offer a metal-ceramic bridges on the principle of fixing screw. The construction of these bridges is made of high quality stainless steel coated with ceramics. This kind of work is financially much more accessible to our patients and the quality, duration, and aesthetics are not behind the gold-ceramic bridges.
Prosthetics
So far we have talked about the latest methods of solving problems related to your teeth. Our practices offer you a number of diferent ways to solve a number of your disadvantages, according to your abilities.
Crowns
If your tooth is badly damaged and compromises aesthetics of other teeth, the ideal solution is a crown. This requires a little grinding of tooth (under local anesthesia), making the imprint, and the dental lab makes the crown, which is later fixed to the tooth.
We offer you:
- Galvanic gold crowns
- Press ceramic (metal free)
Galvanic gold ceramic crowns
The cap of these crowns is obtained by using the gold galvanizing solution. These caps have a thickness from 0.2 to 0.3 mm and are composed of 99% pure gold. The yellow color of gold gives a galvanic ceramic crown a yellowish color, as well as a primary tooth dentine. Due to its transparency, these kind of work is highly aesthetic.
Gold is the ideal material for the mouth because it doesn't cause any allergies, its' good biocompatibility and excellent adhesion to the polished tooth. These crowns are ideal for a single tooth,or can be made a bridge with one pontic.
Press ceramics - full ceramic
It belongs in a highly aesthetic material for making crowns and bridges. The advantage of press technique is that it uses only one material and we are in the true sense talking about full ceramics with all the aesthetic and visual phenomena such as opalescence, fluorescence, transparency or translucency. This technique allows us to create veneers, inlays, onlays, crown and solo bridge up to three members.
In our laboratory we use a system Ivoclare - max press and dental ceramics e - max.
The bridge
The bridge is fixed prosthetic work that solves the problem of partially edentulous jaws. Existing teeth are used as a bridge carriers. Between these teeth is a metal structure on which are set members to fill the space of missing teeth. Everything is coated with ceramics.
Dentures
Depending on whether it is a fully edentulous or partially edentulous jaw, we are talking about the total or partial denture.
Total denture
If there is no single tooth in the jaw, we're talking about complete denture. The main structure of the denture can be acrylate or a metallic material (wironit) in which artificial teeth are placed, which may be be either acrylic or ceramic.
Partial dentures
Indications for a partial denture in the jaw are when there are no major teeth that can be carriers for the bridge. In this case, nonexistent teeth are compensated with the partial denture that can be acrylic or metal.
Combined works
If, for example, the layout of the existing frontal teeth is such that it can be solved by a bridge, and there are no distal teeth, the case is solved with combination work. The bridge is placed on front teeth, which is attached with the metal solidifies (wironit) on denture. This kind of dentures are stable and highly functional.
Oral Surgery-Other
Apicoectomy is a surgical procedure of removing the process on top of the root, whether it is a granuloma or cyst. In this way the tooth is preserved, and therefore its' function.
Frenectomy - surgical removal of frenulom due to esthetic or functional reasons
Extraction of impacted and retained wisdom teeth
Extraction of residual or broken roots
All treatments are painless because they are done under local anesthesia.
